Rivers State has recorded 14 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 190 with 32 discharged and 12 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday, Friday.
The Centre also announced 387 new cases of the COVID-19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number of the new cases with 254; FCT-29; Jigawa-24; Edo-22; Oyo-15; Rivers-14; Kaduna-11; Borno-6; Kano-3; Plateau-2; Yobe-2; Gombe-2; Bauchi-2; and Ondo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 9302 with 2697 discharged and 261 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases, as the country is on course to curb the spread of the virus.
