The management of Zenith Bank Plc has cautioned members of the public against online videos falsely linking its Group Chairman, Jim Ovia, to an investment platform known as Wealth Bridge.
In a disclaimer issued on Tuesday, the bank debunked claims circulating in promotional materials that suggested Dr. Ovia endorsed the scheme. The statement described the videos as fraudulent and clarified that neither the bank nor its founder has any association with the purported investment platform.
According to the bank, the misleading videos, shared via a Facebook account identified as ‘Greece Island,’ promised unsuspecting investors returns of up to N2 million weekly on an investment of N380,000.
Zenith Bank stressed that the promotional content is fake and warned the public to exercise caution. It added that anyone engaging with the entity does so at their own risk, as the bank and its chairman have no connection whatsoever with the scheme.
The bank also refuted claims in the video that the scheme had received endorsement from the Central Bank of Nigeria, describing the assertion as entirely untrue.
