The Rivers State Police Command, has assured residents of the state of adequate security during the Christmas and New year celebrations.
The command in a statement yesterday, said gunboats, officers and materials have been deployed to strategic points.
The command, said it is battle ready to ensure a hitch free celebration in the state.
It advised residents to stay off crime and criminality, as anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the law.
It also warned residents to obey the ban on unauthorised sirens and tinted glasses, adding that defaulters will be arrested and prosecuted.
The statement further stated that a taskforce has been put in place to ensure compliance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday.
