Former Chief of Staff to Hon. Chibuike Amaechi when he held sway as Governor of Rivers State, Tony Okocha and some youths of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area have backed Sen. Magnus Abe to emerge as Governor of the State come 2023.
Tony Okocha and the youths under the aegis of Rivers Voice of Freedom (RVF) declared support for Abe during a meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting was to inaugurate executive members of the group to rally support for Abe ahead of the governorship election in the state.
Okocha and the group noted that they are fully in support of Sen. Abe, who they said is the right man for the job.
“One thing that I am sure of is that nobody can stop the idea when time has come; our time has come,” he said.
They also said division in the APC, denied Abe the right to contest the governorship position in the last election.
