Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused journalists of promoting disunity in Rivers State.
Speaking during a media chat on Thursday, Wike dismissed speculation that one of the conditions of his reconciliation with Fubara was for the governor to forgo re-election in 2027. He blamed journalists for spreading such claims, alleging that they were motivated by financial gains for their media organizations.
“You’re the ones fuelling disunity, just to make money for their stations,” Wike stated.
He declined to disclose the specific terms of the peace agreement and insisted that he owed no one any explanation or apology regarding the matter.
