President, of the World Boxing Federation, (WBF), Howard Goldberg is in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital for the highly anticipated boxing match between Taiwo Agbaje and Bryan James of Philippine.
The bout, tagged “Simplified Rumble in Rivers for Champions” will take place on the 7th of December 2024 at the Yakubu Gowon stadium in Port Harcourt.
Speaking about the bout on arrival, Goldberg described the news of the event in Port Harcourt as exciting, adding that they place much emphasis on the importance of the fight.
“Very exciting news that we have a world title fight coming up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in Nigeria on the 7th of December, and we place great emphasis on the importance of this fight, the magnitude of this fight,” he said.
Goldberg also revealed that he had to cancel a US trip to attend the event in Port Harcourt
