Winnie Miller, the young woman who was allegedly assaulted after posting a photograph of a dilapidated school building in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, has called for the arrest of the council chairman, Hon. Eugene Chita Epelle.
Miller made the call in a post on social media on Thursday after claiming that suspicious items were discovered in front of her residence.
Expressing fear for her safety and that of her family, she appealed to security agencies in the state to intervene immediately.
“So this is what my mother found in front of my house this morning. I’m calling on the Commissioner of Police, the Director of the DSS, and all security agencies in Rivers State for the immediate arrest of the Ahoada West Chairman, Hon. Eugene Chita Epelle, and his brother, Monday Epelle,” she wrote.
She questioned whether authorities would wait until harm comes to her or her mother before taking action.
“Is it until these people kpai me or my mother that they will be arrested?” she added, while calling for justice.
The development follows earlier reports that Miller was allegedly assaulted after she shared an image highlighting the poor condition of a school building in the area.
