Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has again criticized the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, for embarking on what he described as ‘Sympathy Strike’ for its members in other states.
Speaking at an event at the Rivers State University, he said very soon JUSUN, in other states would embark on sympathy strike for their members in the state, now that the No-work No-pay policy has been enforced.
Wike, stated that his administration has fully implemented financial autonomy for the Judiciary and the legislature and there is no basis for JUSUN in the state to embark on strike.
He further reacted to the agreement reached with the Nigeria Governors Forum and JUSUN, adding that he was not consulted.
He said the agreement is not binding on the state government, as the NGF has no power to sign on his behalf.
Wike also explained that nobody can direct him on how to spend funds meant for the State.
