Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that his administration will not support ill treatment of judicial officers for effectively discharging their duties.
Wike, said this during the swearing in of Justice David Iheanachor Ogbuzor as the Acting President of the Customary Court of Appeal at Government House, Port Harcourt, Today.
Justice Ogbuzor was sworn in to replace Christiana Nwankwo who recently passed on.
The Governor, called on judges in the state to be firm in the discharge of their duties without fear or favor, as the country needs courageous judicial officers.
He also stated that the appointment of judges by the National Judicial Council, should be based on boldness and not intelligence alone.
