Some suspected dynamite detonators were allegedly arrested on Saturday, during the grand reception by the Rivers Ijaw People’s Congress to honor former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike made the claims during the reception at Rainbow town in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the suspects were sent to bomb venue of the event, but were apprehended. He warned the Police not to sweep the matter under the carpet, and called for a thorough investigation.
Meanwhile, the Police was yet to react to the incident as at the time of filing this report.
