Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has signed two bills passed by the state House of Assembly into law.
The bills are the state Judicial Institute Law, No 8 of 2021 and the Housing Scheme for Judicial Officers Law, No 10 2021.
Wike, while signing the bills into law said as a government they believe that providing houses for judicial officers would go a long way in eliminating corruption from the judiciary.
He stated that judicial officers working at the Supreme Court, Appeal Court and the Federal Industrial Courts will benefit from the gesture.
He also said those who do not want the house, will be financially rewarded.
