Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said that the state will witness “a revolution of developmental projects before the end of his tenure in 2023”.
Gov. Wike stated this in a chat with news correspondents after inspecting on going projects such as the Real Madrid Academy, Rebisi flyover and the Mother and Child Hospital in Port Harcourt.
He said the Football Academy and the Mother and Child Hospital will be inaugurated and put to use before the end of year.
“By the time we complete all the projects we have started, it will be amazing. With the projects on ground, you can now see how the State is changing and where it will be in 2023,” he said.
“We are going to roll out a lot of legacy projects that will make Rivers State a centre of attraction in the entire country,” he stated.
“When you get value from the money you spent on something, you will be happy. Nobody will see what Julius Berger has done on the Rebisi Flyover and will not be happy,” the Governor added.
The governor also noted that after signing a memorandum of understanding, the Mother and Child Hospital will be handed over to a private entrepreneur to manage.
