The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has asserted that his political bloc remains firmly rooted in Rivers State, insisting that no opposition can force it out despite sustained pressure since the 2023 general election.
Wike made the declaration on Saturday during a thank-you visit to the Port Harcourt Local Government Area secretariat, where he met with party leaders, traditional rulers, women and youth groups from the area.
He said his political camp had stayed united and resolute in the face of threats and attacks, stressing that its commitment since 2023 had not wavered.
The former Rivers State governor has been visiting all 23 local government areas of the state to express appreciation to residents for their support in the last elections, while also mobilising continued backing for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 polls.
Wike noted that his political family had borne the consequences of openly aligning with the President and the Renewed Hope agenda from the outset, adding that Rivers State remains a dependable base of support for Tinubu.
According to him, Rivers is one of the states where the President enjoys unwavering loyalty and confidence.
