The Rivers State Government has reacted to the report by the National Bureau of Statistics that the state has an unemployment rate of over 43.7 percent.
Governor Nyesom Wike during a Television interview yesterday, described the report as false and politically motivated to discredit his administration.
He said his administration has provided over 100,000 jobs since taking over governance of the state in 2015.
He noted that the state government has tried its best to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.
