The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has berated governor of the state, Barr. Nyesom Wike over the three hundred million naira donation to the Wives of Officials of Lagos State Government on Tuesday.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Darlington Nwauju in a statement wondered why the governor would donate N300m to the group when Rivers people are suffering from flood.
On Wike’s endorsement of Sanwo-Olu for a second term, he stated that endorsing the candidate of another party is a clear case of “anti-party” adding that Wike is simply playing politics with the APC which ought not to be.
He noted that the party’s Presidential candidate and his supporters are simply encouraging Wike and that it could affect the APC.
Nwauju also described Wike’s visit as payback to the visit of South West APC governors to Port Harcourt few weeks ago.
Gov. Wike yesterday donated the sum of three hundred million naira to the Wives of Lagos State officials, and endorsed the re-election bid of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a move that has generated mixed reaactions.
