The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was notably absent from President Bola Tinubu’s 73rd birthday celebration at the Presidential Villa, fueling speculation about his whereabouts.
Amid rumors circulating on social media that Wike collapsed in Abuja, his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, dismissed the claims as false. Posts on X (formerly Twitter) alleged that the minister slumped at an event on Friday and was taken to an undisclosed hospital.
Olayinka, when contacted by journalists, refuted the reports, labeling them “fake.” Despite his absence from the presidential event, Wike conveyed his birthday wishes to Tinubu through social media.
