The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has reacted to today’s Appeal Court judgement involving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Describing the verdict as an opportunity for reconciliation within the party, Wike urged PDP to embrace the ruling rather than pursue further legal action. “Today’s judgement is an opportunity for PDP to reconcile, but if they decide to go to the Supreme Court, it won’t augur well for the party,” he stated.
Wike added that his side is prepared for any escalation, noting that all nine appeals filed against PDP were won in court today. “We won all nine appeals against them today, and each comes with a N2 million cost, totaling N18 million against them,” he said.
However, the Turaki-led PDP said it is studying the judgement and waiting for legal advice before deciding on the next steps.
The Appeal Court’s ruling marks a significant development in the ongoing legal disputes involving the PDP.
