Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has ordered the renovation and redesign of the Government Secondary School, Borikiri, Port Harcourt. This is in fulfillment of his administration’s pledge to revamp such schools reputed to have produced great personalities.
The state governor who disclosed this while on an inspection tour of the school said such great institutions which have impacted positively to the state should remain relevant.
Flanked by some members of his cabinet, the governor warned host communities of such schools against encroaching on the land allotted the schools by the government.
