A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and ally of Atiku Abubakar, Chief, Ebenezer Babatope has warned that Governor, Nyesom Wike and his allies may regret it if they arrogate powers they do not have to themselves.
Ebenezer, who was a former Minister of Transport said this during an interview with Independent at the weekend.
According to him, the party has done everything possible to appease Wike and his men, adding that they are free to leave if they want to leave.
He said they all love Wike for his courage but when one arrogates power to himself he/she may lose the support of the people.
“We have tried our best to placate them. At this stage, if they want to go, goodluck to them. If they want to remain in PDP, the better for all of us. Governor Wike and his allies must not arrogate powers that they don’t have to themselves. If they do so, they will make mistakes and may regret it. We all love Wike for his courage but when you arrogate powers to yourself, then you may lose the support of the people,” he said.
