Former Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chris Finebone, has confirmed his defection to the People’s Democratic Party.
Daily Trust reports that Finebone confirmed his defection in a chat with them in the early hours of Friday.
The former ally to the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon, Chibuike Amaechi who did not explain the reason for his defection only said ”Similanayi Fubara, PDP governorship candidate is my brother; know it and know peace!”
It was gathered that shortly after he defected to PDP, Finebone visited Governor Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt in company of the former State Chairman of APC, Dr Davis Ikanya, and some others.
Recall that Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Rivers APC, Darlignton Nwaju had in a statement on Friday, said the party is yet to receive any resignation letter from Finebone.
Finebone, had also in a chat with popular Rivers journalist, Allwell Ene said Governor Wike is working, adding that he is the best governor Rivers State has ever produced.
