The Presidential Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, has accused the state Governor, Nyesom Wike of double standards.
Spokesperson of the council, Hon. Leleonu Nwibubasa in a statement while reacting to the revocation of approval for use of the Adokiye Amieyesimaka stadium for the party’s rally says Wike has a penchant for giving something and taking it back.
Nwibubasa, who described the incident as unfortunate says the governor did the same thing with Omehia when he derecognized him as Governor after recognizing him.
He noted that there was no way the Council will hold campaign in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State as alleged by the state government.
He also said they were not surprised by Wike’s act noting that the presidential rally of the party will hold in the state.
