Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has defended the Federal Government’s decision to renovate the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, stating that the facility has already been fully booked until 2027.
Speaking on Thursday at the commissioning of the Kugbo Bus and Taxi Terminal, Wike noted that despite public criticism over the project’s cost and timing, the centre has proven its value through overwhelming demand.
He revealed that the FCT Administration is currently reviewing its schedule to accommodate a request from the House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review to use the facility.
Wike maintained that the decision to renovate the conference centre was a strategic investment that is now yielding returns.
