The Rivers State Government has confirmed that the Federal Government has refunded the N78 billion, it spent on federal roads.

Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike made this known during the commissioning of internal roads at Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area, yesterday.

The Governor stated that he has not touched a dime from the money as it will be used to construct more projects.

“Rivers people, the Federal Government has refunded us the money. I have not touched a dime yet and it is in the bank. I will use it for project execution,” he said.

“I kept it to tell those who are making noise to know that I am going to work till the last day in office. I will continue to work for the interest of our people. I’m not resting,” Wike added.

In addition, he said as a party their businessas is to make the opposition in the state, have serious high blood pressure.
