Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has lashed out at critics of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing them as “politically expired” individuals who refuse to acknowledge the government’s achievements.
Wike made the remarks on Wednesday during the flag-off and commissioning of key road projects in the Ushafa-Bwari area of Abuja. He accused long-time political opponents—many of whom, he claimed, have switched parties repeatedly since 1999—of deliberately ignoring visible progress under the current administration.
“Let those who don’t have vision, who are politically expired, and who have belonged to over 10 political parties since 1999 see what you’re doing,” Wike said. “Whichever channel they watch, they will see Mr President. Yet they say nothing is working. Must we come to their houses before they see it?”
The event, which featured the dualisation and upgrade of the War College/Army checkpoint road and adjoining routes, was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Tinubu.
