Rivers State Government has charged the Federal Government not to stop state governors from fixing federal roads.
The governor made this known in a statement yesterday during the meeting of the National Council of Works holding in Port Harcourt.
He said the fixing of such roads in very critical and important to the development of various states in the country and leads to wealth creation.
The governor equally called on the federal government to ensure the completion of the East-West road which cuts across most southern states in the country.
He said federal roads if not properly fixed will stall development across the country. He called on the federal government to endeavor to complete the East-West road before embarking on a new road project.
