Justice Mary Ukaego Odili, JSC (Rtd) has stepped down as chairman of the body of Benchers in Nigeria.
The ceremony took place in the nation’s capital, Abuja Today.
The event had in attendance the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the celebrant’s husband, former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Dr. Peter Odili CON, GSSRS, Chief Justice of the federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola GCON, Presidential spokesman Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Chief Judge of Rivers State Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi DSSRS, amongst several other invited guests.
Former governor of Rivers State and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike was absent at the event.
Justice Mary Odili who served as Chairman between April 2023 and March 2024 will be replaced by Justice A.S. Awomolo SAN.
