Executive Chairman of Emohua local government area, Hon. Chidi Lloyd says he returned to the People’s Democratic Party to reconcile and reconnect with his friends to be at peace with himself.
Lloyd said this while speaking at the two separate ceremonies marking the commissioning of the Emohua council warehouse and the council independent power plant project undertaken by his administration on Tuesday,
He revealed that he had no intention to seek elective office when he returned to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2020, but the party leadership called him to take up the responsibility of leading the Local Government Council; a proposal he earlier declined but later accepted after several persuasions by critical stakeholders in the LGA.
Dr. Lloyd also said he is happy that he never disappointed the leaders who believed in him and entrusted the council to him, amid other very qualified individuals within the party at the time.
