Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), citing dissatisfaction with the PDP’s leadership in Delta State.
The announcement was made by Nwoko’s media aide, Gloria Okolugbo, who stated that the senator’s defection was driven by a lack of support in fulfilling his campaign promises.
Okolugbo also pointed to internal divisions within the PDP as a significant barrier, noting that factionalism had hindered Nwoko’s efforts to engage meaningfully with the party’s structures.
With Nwoko’s defection, all three senators representing Delta State are now members of the APC.
