The World Health Organization, has denied disqualifying Nigeria or any African country from accessing COVID-19 vaccines through the COVAX facility.
Representative of the WHO in Nigeria, Dr. Walter Kazadi disclosed this during a meeting with the National Primary Healthcare Development, Agency, NPHCDA, on Saturday.
He said the Organization is rather assisting African countries to get vaccines as soon as possible.
He stated that all countries on the continent are currently expected to start accessing the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines by the end of February.
There were reports that Nigeria and some other African countries were denied access to the vaccines.
