The Federal Government has promised to review the minimum wage in two years time. Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, said this on Thursday in Abia State.
According to her, the minimum review timeline is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to his promise to Nigerian workers by ensuring the minimum wage was reviewed after three years.
“We are not going to allow minimum wage review to be forever.
“It used to be about five years, but now, in three years’ time, which is less than two years, we will also review the minimum wage,” she said.
