The Social Democratic Party, in Rivers State, Today unveiled its Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr. Patricia Ogbonnaya, and Director General of its Campaign Council, Sen. Wilson Ake.
The event which was attended by stakeholders of the party, held at Tana Event Centre in Port Harcourt.
Sen. Abe during the unveiling described his running mate as a true leader who can add value to the ticket. He also described Ake as a true distinguished Senator, who is a serial winner, and has the capacity to lead the party to victory.
He stated that the campaign is a call to duty for each and everyone, adding that the party needs workers and not supporters.
According to him, a community based system will be adopted to give everyone the opportunity to serve, as there will be campaign councils in each of the 23 local government areas.
The Governorship candidate revealed that the party will not negotiate with its opponents to win, but, will pin them down and claim victory.
Director General of the Campaign Council, Wilson Ake in his acceptance speech commended the party for finding him worthy to lead its campaign council.
Ake described Abe as the most educated and qualified candidate to govern the oil rich state in 2023.
According to him, no matter what someone has done there is always room for more to be done, and Abe can do more to transform the state.
