The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, has reacted to attacks on some media houses in Port Harcourt, few days ago.

Chairman of the organization, Enefaa Georgewill who condemned the attacks in a statement, said RIVCSO will fight on the side of the media no matter what.

According to him, it is worrisome that some persons have graduated from attacking politicians to media houses. “You People Have Graduated From Attacking Politicians To Media Houses? In War & In Peace, Don’t Cross The Red Line. RIVCSO Will Fight On The Side Of The Media,” he said.

Recall that offices of Wish Fm and Atlantic Television Network in Port Harcourt were attacked by hoodlums with dynamites. The attack left properties worth million destroyed. Owner of the media houses, Hon. Chinyere Igwe, a strong supporter of Atiku Abubakar said the attack was due to his support for presidential candidate of the PDP.
