The Labour Party (LP) has announced its decision to present former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, as its candidate for the 2027 general elections. This was disclosed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, during an appearance on Channels Television’s programme, Politics Today.
Arabambi stated that President Bola Tinubu would face stiff competition in the upcoming polls, emphasizing the party’s determination to challenge the incumbent.
According to him, Tinubu is not going to have it very easy in 2027, stating that the party is coming back with Peter Obi to show how serious they are.
