Players and officials of Bafana Bafana of South Africa will this morning travel to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for their 2026 World Cup fixture against the Super Eagles.
This was after they were reported stranded at the Port Harcourt International Airport after they landed from Johannesburg on Wednesday evening.
Sources say the team were unable to travel to Uyo because the airport had closed by the time they were scheduled to take off.
The fixture takes place at the Goodwill Akpabio International Stadium at 8pm on Friday.
