A mother of eleven children, whose house at the Echue street waterfront along the Iloabuchi axis in Diobu, Port Harcourt, is about to be demolished has called on the Rivers state to come to provide accommodation for her.
The single parent, who sells perewinkles in a chat with journalists yesterday, said she has nowhere to go.
According to her, she has been living and raising her eleven children without a husband at the waterfront for many years.
She stated that after the demolition, she and her kids would continue to stay and sleep on the rumbles with nets, till she is able to raise money to rent an apartment.
The woman, pleaded with the state government to give them more time to sort themselves out.
As you may know, the state government is expected to begin the second phase of the demolition of waterfronts beginning from Echue street this week.
