The copyright infringement allegation by Tobure Ovuerie isn’t making any sense at all. Tobure is the wrong party here in this case and if not well handled, will be a court case
Now, this will tell us that laying false accusations on people especially on SOCIAL MEDIA is something we all should learn not be involved in.
Because as Mo Abodu said “Social media has given us a voice but let us use that voice responsibly”.

Her last speech about the media isn’t encouraging at all. There should be balance and fairness.

Tobure in one word was greedy wanting to lay claim on what even she knows too well isn’t here
She has at this point painted a bad image of herself forgetting that the media is there to hunt anyone who crosses it’s path

In my opinion Ms Mo Abudo had a transparent relationship with tobure by commiting to offer up some of the profits from the film to her NGO. But tobore making allegations on infringement, makes me want to ask if this misunderstanding was due to failure to properly communicate the purpose of Mo making such monetary offer. But then the media, is know for carrying out investigative reports. Hence we wait to hear what tobure has to say.

it all boils down to people wanting more, we can’t help it. The greed is just too much.
The money she’s asking for is just too much.

I’m of the opinion that it was on called for for Tobure to turn out like that .. like that a wow… That’s why a poem writer State that man’s hunger for wealth is insatiable.. The more money the MORE GREE…
I THINK THAT THIS MATTER SHOULD BE LOOKED AT CAREFULLY FROM BOTH SIDES COS FROM THIS IT’S SEEMS THAT TOBURE JUST WANTS TO EXPLORE N EXTORT MONEY FROM MO ABODU WHICH IS CLEARLY NOT RIGHT…
    AND THERE’S PUNISHMENT FOR FRUAD
SO THIS MATTER SHOULD BE LOOKED AT CAREFULLY…

For whatsoever tobure’s reason was for blackmailing and threatening ms. Mo abudu I can’t comprehend.
But the media as a very powerful tool with status conferral as one of it’s function, should be careful enough to hear from both sides, before airing or publishing anything.

I am of the opinion that Tobure perhaps received a ‘Bad’ counsel or advice due to the U turn she made.Tobure thought she would make more money since the film ‘oloture’ was premiering on Netflix an international platform, hence her greed.
Mo Abudu has proven herself to be a person of integrity and high moral standard.
The media has powerful effect on people and ought not to give information based on one persons side of a story, so as to ensure the public have full knowledge and understand the issue at hand.

This shows how powerful the media is and that it has the power to make or mar a person
She should get her deserved punishment

Tobure has no right whatsoever to claim ownership of the movie “Òlòtūré”,and this issue going on right now is as a result of Tobure’s greed. The compensation she even asked for is outrageous, and I hope at the end of all these she will be punished for defamation.

I personally think Tobure was in dire need of money and was willing to go through the extreme to get it hence she thought threatening and attacking Ms. Mo Abodu and her crew might fish her some money or she might be mentally disturbed due to her past experiences and the loss of her dad. Perhaps that’s why her lawyer disengaged with her but anyway, it was a callous thing to do. The mass media needs to do better by allowing both parties involved in a situation, chances to air out their views before vilifying anyone, everyone should be given the opportunity to speak and not just one party, before making judgements. We as a people should do better, even before making ill comments about someone on social media, we should listen to both sides of a story first as our “opinions” could tear down someone because of the very powerful effect of the mass media.

It is quite clear that, Mo Abodu has got a good case, with all this evidence, the best option is to go to court.Tobure has no right whatsoever to blackmail and even try to extract money from Mo.

To a huge extent I feel Tobore was being greedy. She clearly wanted to exploit Mo. But it also seemed like she misunderstood the basis for the film’s production. No rights were infringed upon. Well,I hope we’d hear of the Court’s final verdict if there’s be one.

I believe based on the human nature ,people tend not to see their short comings or errors until such actions have been made. For Tobore Mit Ovuorie she felt she need a higher compensation for reasons we might not be disclosed to probably because the article maybe she felt it was her own but knowing fully well that it belongs to premium times.
This goes to show that the media has a strong influence on people in the society.

Tobure, for whatever reason, was trying to reap much more than she sow. This is greed at its peak. I hope she gets the right punishment she deserves. And to even think she was asking for such a huge amount of money as “compensation”, is outrageous!
It clearly shows how powerful the media is and its capability to either build or destroy a person, organization, etc.
