Erica Campbell of the now defunct Gospel music group popularly known as ‘Mary Mary’ , has in a recent interview, explained the reason for the break up of the duo which featured her sister Tina Campbell .
Erica while recounting the events that led to the break up, said that she made efforts to ensure the group stays but her sister “…had more things to do and also wanted to get closer to God.”
The group which was formed in 1998 released about Six albums with one of the albums, having Erica as the sole singer.
During the interview which was hosted by Cassy of one of Port Harcourt’s urban radio station, Beat Fm, Erica talked about relationships, her upcoming song and a possible visit to Nigeria.

I TRULY LOVE Erica and Tina. Their music is awesome! It seems as though Tina most times is unconcerned about the feelings of others. She treats others like everything is her way or the highway. These sisters are truly anointed to minister to people through their music. The constant bickering sends a very negative message to those who are waiting to hear a word from the Lord that could bring about healing and restoration in someone’s life. My greatest fear is that they will allow the Devil to totally destroy that which GOD has called forth through these anointed women and sisters of God. Their music has definitely Blessed me during some very hard moments in my life. God Bless You Both Forever.????????????????
I hope the people on the Mary Mary reality show go back and watch carefully and realize how badly Erica Campbell is treated by the closest people around her. I just started bindge watching and I am so shocked how her sisters, even her mother, constantly put what is important to Tina over Erica in every situation. Everyone pulls Erica in their direction for their benefit and Tina’s benefit. It seems they are always expecting Erica to say yes to them, but they criticize her when she does too much. And Tina makes every decision for her own good and is never questioned by anyone until it negatively affects them, then they call on Erica to confront Tina and fix the situation for them. I felt bad for Erica every season. I just hope they see it when they watch the reality show themselves.
