PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
The Rivers State Waste Management Agency hereby informs members of the Public especially those living and doing business at Rumuolumeni Community in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, that the waste disposed on the median of Iwofe road was not a human corpse or human parts, but decomposing waste of poultry.
Also, these wastes have since been evacuated, disposed and the environment deodorized and fumigated thereby making the environment safe, healthy and habitable for human interactions.
The Agency uses this medium to reiterate to the General Public that it is an Offence to dump waste on the median. Environmental offenders will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the relevant and extant laws of the land.
The Agency remains resolute in restoring Rivers State to its Garden City Status.
