The military in Rivers State has arrested former Igwuruta OSPAC Commander, Promise Nnawali wanted by the Police for allegedly killing two men on the 21st of November 2020.
It was alleged that Promise shot the men, Peter Opurum and Princewill Ogbonda to death. After which he buried them in a bush in the area.
Brother to one of the victims, Goodluck Ogbonda made this known in a statement yesterday.
Goodluck, who commended the military for the arrest, said the suspect was arrested at the OSPAC office in Igwuruta.
He explained that Nnawali was taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department, after immense struggle with the officers who overpowered him in the end.
Goodluck also said he wants the suspect to show them where his brother was buried, so his remains could be dug up for some traditional rites and proper burial.
He, furthermore, called on the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday to ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet by highly placed individuals.
