Chairman of People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, Desmond Akawor has promised to give Nigeria’s representative at the CAF Women’s championship, Rivers Angels the sum of one million naira for every goal scored.
Akawor, said this during a sendforth ceremony organized for the players in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
He urged the players to see football and sports as serious business, adding that the pledge is to motivate them for the competition.
“You must sustain what we have, and not bring down the bar; the place is a familiar place; so, you must come back with success.
“You are the representative of Nigeria, you must exhibit the greatest discipline and move as a team,” he said.
