Social media personality VeryDarkMan has reacted to a trending video circulating online that shows his family’s compound, addressing criticism and defending his personal integrity.
In a statement shared online, VeryDarkMan acknowledged that the property in the video belongs to his community and family, expressing appreciation to the individual who recorded and shared the footage.
According to him, the video has helped highlight what he described as his commitment to transparency.
He clarified that his living situation is a personal choice, noting that “a home is a place you make comfortable for yourself.” He emphasised that he would not use funds from his non-governmental organisation (NGO) for personal projects such as renovating his grandfather’s compound.
The social media figure stressed that he remains content with his current residence and would only build a personal home using his own resources.
Responding to criticism, he questioned why he was being targeted over the issue, stating that his father, Mr Vincent Otse, who he identified as the appropriate person to address such matters, is still alive alongside other family members.
