Abuja-based social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has given the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) a seven-day ultimatum to end the ongoing teachers’ strike in Abuja or face intensified protests.
The ultimatum was issued on Monday during a demonstration led by the activist, who marched alongside school children in the nation’s capital. Dressed in a school uniform, VeryDarkMan decried the continued closure of public schools, blaming the authorities for failing to address the demands of the striking teachers.
A symbolic moment during the protest saw participants mock politicians by reciting the alphabet using the names of prominent political figures. The activist warned that if the strike is not resolved within a week, the protest would escalate significantly.
