Popular social media critic Verydarkman has threatened to sue the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), demanding a public apology within 24 hours.
In a post shared online, Verydarkman accused FAAN of spreading misinformation that allegedly caused panic and trauma among Nigerians. He criticized the agency for allegedly exploiting the nation’s current insecurity challenges for personal or organizational gain.
“Why would you come out to cook up a story at a time when Nigeria is facing serious security issues? This is not acceptable. We do not deserve this,” he wrote.
The social media influencer insisted that the authority must apologize to Nigerian citizens immediately or face legal consequences.
FAAN had earlier reported that four suspected bandits were arrested near the Akure Airport, a claim the Police debunked.
