The case involving late Ikokwu auto mechanic, Chima Ikwunado and the disbanded Eagle Crack Team was heard in court yesterday.
Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Enefaa Georgewill disclosed this in a statement.
According to him, the matter was adjourned to June 15 2022, for continuation by the trial judge.
Enefaa, who expressed confidence that justice will be served in the matter, has been at the forefront of the matter which has lasted over two years now.
Four persons, alongside the late Chima, were arrested for alleged stealing of two cars by the then E-crack team of the Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt, in 2019.
They were detained for weeks at the E-Crack Cell attached to Mile One Police in Port Harcourt, and 21 days in the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre.
The Police had since dismissed the four officers.
