21 cows have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Odogwa commhnity in Etche Local Government Area.
chairman of Miyehti Allah in Rivers State Mohammed Abubakar disclosed this in a chat with journalists.
Mohammed, who expressed shock at the incident, said at about 9pm on Wesnesday last week the cattle rearers had gone into town to get some beverages when the gunmen attacked the cows killing 21 with 15 already pregnant.
Attempts to reach the Leader of Odogwa community in Etche Samuel Odum Proved abortive as he did not pick several calls sent to his phone .
Meanwhile Chairman of the Northern community in Rivers State Musa Saidu has sued for peace.
Saidu while speaking with journalists called for an investigation into the matter and compensation for the owners of the cows.
