The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a businesswoman identified as Onyi Ugba yesterday at Okija street in Mile 2 Diobu Port Harcourt.
Spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident.
According to her, investigation was ongoing to rescue the woman and arrest the suspects.
Sources say the suspected kidnappers stormed the woman’s shop and whisked her away.
This was after they demanded for a huge amount of money which the woman could not provide.
They said the incident caused panic in the area as residents scampered for safety.
