The Management of the University of Port Harcourt has declared Monday, 18th to Friday, 22nd August, 2025 as a lecture-free week to enable students fully participate in activities lined up for the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Week.
The decision, conveyed through the Registrar, Mrs. Gloria O. Chindah (PhD), underscores the University’s commitment to supporting student-led initiatives that promote leadership, creativity, and campus unity.
The Students’ Union Week is an annual event designed to foster camaraderie among students, encourage innovation, and strengthen the bond between the University Management and the student body. It also provides a platform for showcasing talents and advancing constructive engagement within the University community.
Members of the University community are enjoined to comply with this directive.
