The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Uniport, has described the failure of the Federal Government to appoint a governing council four months after the appointment of an acting Vice Chancellor as unacceptable.
Chairman of ASUU in Uniport, Austen Sado disclosed this during a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday.
Sado said the institution would be tolerant for an acting Vice Chancellor for six months and nothing more, as the current situation amounts to sole administration.
He furthermore said the government is engineering a major crises over its failure to appoint a Governing Council in the institution.
