At least two persons have been confirmed dead following a violent clash between rival gangs in Ngo and Unyengala communities in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The incident, which reportedly began on Sunday evening, escalated into Monday morning, triggering panic and forcing residents to flee their homes. Sources said the violence involved suspected members of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) and the Iceland cult group.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the incident, said sporadic gunshots were heard on Sunday evening, causing residents to run for safety. The source added that it was later discovered that two people had been shot dead during the clash.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, told reporters on Monday that the incident occurred and that investigations were ongoing.
