Two female child traffickers, Favour Godwin and Ada Ebere have been sentenced to 15 years and 10 years imprisonment by a magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt.
Chief Magistrate, Felicita Amanze found the two defendants guilty of stealing and selling little four year-old Uwana Emmanuel at Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State in 2018.
Another defendant, Kodirichi Nwankwo was discharged for showing genuine remorse during the trial of the case. However, she was ordered to report to the court every month for two years.
Nwankwo also gave birth to a baby four years ago while in prison custody, during trial.
The defendants were found guilty of conspiracy stealing and child trafficking.
